Infested Stone block in Minecraft

Present since 1.12.2 or earlier Mined with: pickaxe Stack size: 64

The Infested Stone is disguised as Stone. An infested block hides a Silverfish that bursts out when the block is broken.

It is mined with a pickaxe and drops Stone.

What it does

Infested blocks look exactly like the real ones but break faster, which is the only clue. Breaking one releases a silverfish, and a silverfish under attack calls others hidden in nearby infested blocks. They are common in strongholds and in the stone of mountains, and infested deepslate appears deep underground.

Mined with Silk Touch, an infested block gives the normal block without the silverfish. In creative mode you can place them to build traps, and a mob with the Infested effect can release silverfish when it takes damage.
