A Firework Star in the recipe turns the rocket into a firework that explodes.

A Firework Star sets the color and shape of a firework rocket's explosion.
It is made with the Crafting Table from Gunpowder and Black Dye (or another variant) (other recipes also exist).
What it does
Gunpowder and at least one dye make a star; add a fire charge for a large ball, a gold nugget for a star, a mob head for a creeper face or a feather for a burst. A diamond adds a trail and glowstone dust a twinkle. Combine stars with paper and gunpowder to build the rocket.
