Netherrack block in Minecraft
Netherrack is the soft red stone that makes up most of the Nether.
It is mined with a pickaxe.
What it does
It breaks very fast with a pickaxe, so it is a cheap filler block. Lit with fire, netherrack burns forever, which makes it the classic fireplace and beacon of light. Smelting it gives a Nether Brick, the brick of Nether fortresses.
