Budding Amethyst is the block inside geodes that slowly grows amethyst buds on its faces.
It is mined with a pickaxe.
What it does
Buds grow through three sizes into an amethyst cluster, which drops shards when broken fully grown. The budding block itself drops nothing, even with Silk Touch, and pistons break it, so leave it in place and build your farm around the geode.
