Command Block block in Minecraft

What it does

Command blocks cannot be crafted or broken in survival: you get them with the /give command, in creative mode with operator rights, and a server must allow them in its settings. Open one to type any command, such as a teleport, a title or a scoreboard change.

There are three types. An impulse block runs its command once each time it is activated, a repeating block runs it every game tick while active, and a chain block runs right after the block pointing into it. Each can be set to need redstone or to stay always active, and to be conditional, running only if the previous block in the chain succeeded.

A Redstone Comparator reads whether the last command succeeded, which makes command blocks the backbone of adventure maps and minigames.
